Job Title: Youth Coordinator

The Civic Education Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Youth Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in youth development and civic education. This part-time position requires a commitment of 3 to 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, with occasional weekend availability depending on events. The Youth Coordinator will primarily be responsible for assisting the Community Engagement Director visiting school sites and assisting with after-school programs.

 

Responsibilities:

• Visit school sites to assess program needs and provide support to Community Engagement Director

• Assist with the coordination and implementation of after-school civic programs

• Collaborate with the Community Engagement Director to develop engaging and educational activities for youth

• Provide mentorship and guidance to youth participants

• Assist in organizing and facilitating CEC events and workshops

• Participate in CEC staff meetings and events

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities

• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth program operations

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols

 

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Possess a genuine interest in youth development and education

• Reliable transportation is a must

• Must pass a background check

• A copy of your driving record will be required upon hiring

• Preferred CPR or first aid training (not required)

• Must be able to carry a minimum of 25 pounds and conduct any physical activities related to the job - Must provide 2 to 3 professional references
