Open Positions
Job Title: Youth Coordinator
The Civic Education Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Youth Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in youth development and civic education. This part-time position requires a commitment of 3 to 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, with occasional weekend availability depending on events. The Youth Coordinator will primarily be responsible for assisting the Community Engagement Director visiting school sites and assisting with after-school programs.
Responsibilities:

Visit school sites to assess program needs and provide support to Community Engagement Director

Assist with the coordination and implementation of after-school civic programs

Collaborate with the Community Engagement Director to develop engaging and educational activities for youth

Provide mentorship and guidance to youth participants

Assist in organizing and facilitating CEC events and workshops

Participate in CEC staff meetings and events

Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities

Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth program operations

Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
Requirements:
-
Must be 18 years of age or older

Possess a genuine interest in youth development and education

Reliable transportation is a must

Must pass a background check

A copy of your driving record will be required upon hiring

Preferred CPR or first aid training (not required)

Must be able to carry a minimum of 25 pounds and conduct any physical activities related to the job - Must provide 2 to 3 professional references
